Celebrating 39 years of marriage this year, they are sharing funny stories, wisdom, and encouragement for not just a long-lasting marriage, but one built on Jesus and full of love and laughter.

They are keeping it real with the fact that marriage has hard days and they have had hard times, but they also share some of the important things they have done to weather storms and live a life of joy together. This episode is one that will make you laugh but also encourage you in so many ways. Whether you are married or hope to be someday, this one is fun!

Elizabeth Ward, About Selah

Elizabeth Ward is one of the worship leaders at North Church. She is a wife to Jordan and mom to baby Noah.

So many women experience trauma or just really difficult circumstances bringing children into their families, whether it’s through labor and delivery or another means of adding to the family. So much of that pain isn’t spoken about for fear of being “dramatic” or not being “strong enough.” Elizabeth shares about missing some of her son’s newborn moments, the fear of being a burden to others and letting them see us at our low points, and the lie that we are alone in our suffering. Elizabeth goes on to share the reality of PostPartum Depression and the shame that can come with it.

Out of the pain she experienced, Elizabeth talks about God’s faithfulness and how he has used her story to help others through her worship album, titled Selah. We talk about having a BIG dream and not letting fear keep you from it and the power that comes from sharing your story. The album can be found on Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play, or wherever you get your music. You will want to get this album ASAP!

Tiana tells the hard story of being diagnosed with Lupus. She shares the reality of her diagnoses but she shares her incredible faith in a God who heals and who hears us. She talks about the power of our words and choosing HOPE.

There are so many women who struggle in silence with illnesses or just struggles that we can’t see. We are thankful for Tiana’s voice for women who are battling something. She reminds us to be brave enough to open up to our people and let them love us and encourage us. She encourages us to be friends who check on our people and love them well.

Tiana also shares about her most recent worship album, Created (can be downloaded on Spotify, Amazon Music, and more) and her recent concert @North Church. Don’t miss this incredible episode of hope in the midst of big prayers!

Jessica Koester: About Getting Back in the Saddle

Jessica Koester is a wife, rodeo competitor, aunt, and more.

At the start of the new year, most of us have major goals and dreams we are passionately pursuing. But what happens when the dream you know God gave you seems to be taken away? Jessica shares the hard story of being homeless,  pursuing a dream, and getting back up after a MAJOR setback that almost took her leg.

This episode is the motivation you need to get through the setback. Jessica shares how Jesus brought her through her darkest days. She keeps it real about how hard recovering from setbacks can be, but she shows us all a picture of what it looks like to fall down but get back up again. She reminds us that the messy middle of the process can be where the beauty happens and that sometimes the goal ends up looking a little different than what we thought. You will LOVE Jessica as much as I did!
